🐾❤️ Our hearts are so full this week ❤️🐾

This week has brought us so many beautiful adoption stories, and we could not be happier.

Cyrus found a loving home with a wonderful lady who previously adopted from our shelter in 2021. She wanted a companion for her first rescue dog, and now another shelter baby gets a second chance at life. 🏡

We also had an amazing company, together with dog-loving staff members on their premises, adopt FOUR dogs from us. What touched us most is that they specifically requested dogs who truly needed a chance to leave the shelter and experience love and freedom. ❤️

And today, Saturday, we celebrated two more puppy adoptions into loving families. One of the puppies came to the shelter in November at only 3 days old.

Seeing dogs leave the shelter for forever homes will never stop being emotional and rewarding for us. Thank you to every adopter who chooses rescue and changes a life forever. 🐶✨

❤️🐾 HOME AT LAST 🐾❤️

The two dogs we shared have officially gone to their forever home together! 🏡

Their adopter came to collect them today, and they were so happy and excited as they left the shelter for their new life.

Moments like these remind us why rescue matters. Seeing shelter dogs finally chosen and given a second chance will always be one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. ❤️

We are beyond grateful to their adopter for taking her time to choose the right fit for her family, and for opening her heart and home to them, and we wish them a lifetime of happiness together.

He was found yesterday on Meanwood Drive, just before the World Vision gates.

He is currently safe at the shelter and being cared for.

If you recognize his or know his owner, please contact us as soon as possible. Proof of ownership will be required before she is released.

🐾 AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION 🏡

Jada came into our care about a month ago, and despite sharing posts, no owner came forward. She is now officially available for adoption.

She is a Boerboel cross, approximately 2–3 years old, very friendly, energetic, active, and absolutely loves human affection. Jada would do best as the only dog in the home, where she can receive the love and attention she deserves.

Jada is vaccinated, sterilised/spayed, and ready for her second chance at life. 🏡 We are looking for a kind and understanding home for her, ideally with someone who has experience with Boerboels or similar breeds and understands their needs and personalities.

She is a sweet girl who deserves to be treated as part of the family, with love and care, and a safe environment where she can still feel included and connected.

🐾 Rescue updates like these make every difficult day worth it ❤️😁

Now lovingly renamed Lucy, came into our shelter as a little puppy looking for a second chance at life. Today, receiving happy updates from her adopter fills our hearts with so much joy. 🥹

Seeing her loved, safe, growing, and thriving in her forever home is exactly why rescue matters. These are the moments we hold onto, the beautiful reminders that every rescued animal deserves a chance to be loved.

We absolutely love receiving updates from adopters and watching our former shelter babies flourish in their new homes. ❤️

🐾❤️ Today is a very special and emotional day for us at the shelter ❤️🐾

Camilla has been pampered with a beautiful bath and is being prepped for her new home this afternoon. And even more exciting, Carlos, who has been with us since the end of 2024, is finally getting his forever home too. 🏡

The best part? Camilla and Carlos are going to the same loving home together. ❤️

Today, on Endangered Species Day, we are reminded that the protection of wildlife is not just about saving animals, it is about protecting the balance of nature and preserving Zambia’s incredible natural heritage for future generations. ❤️

Zambia is home to many beautiful and important species, some of which face threats from habitat loss, poaching, human-wildlife conflict, and environmental changes. From majestic elephants and lions to pangolins, wild dogs, vultures, and many other vulnerable species, every animal plays a role in our ecosystem.
