Meet Madam Carol Mweetwa, a dedicated farmer from Petauke's Fairview Compound whose Zambro flock is giving her great returns.

Carol is currently raising 100 Zambro birds, now just 10 weeks old, and the results are outstanding! Her good poultry management paid off, with an impressive minimal mortality rate – losing only 2 chicks during the crucial first week of brooding. This speaks volumes about her management skills and the robustness of the Zambro breed!

Her flock has already achieved an incredible average body weight of 2.5 kgs at 10 weeks, surpassing expectations! Carol has already secured a market for her entire flock in Lusaka! This pre-secured demand highlights the strong market appeal of Zambro birds for both meat and eggs.

Inspired by her success, Madam Carol is now planning to place her next order for more Zambro chicks next week, ready to expand her flourishing poultry business. Her story is a testament to the profitability and efficiency Zambro brings to our farmers.

Last week, our CSR team visited one of the Hybrid-owned community schools in Lusaka's Midway to donate various items, including stationery, footballs, volleyballs, and other essentials to support both academics and extracurricular activities.

These donations were made possible through the incredible generosity of our employees during our Back to School Day earlier this year, a fun initiative where staff dressed in school uniforms and contributed funds, with additional support from management

Today, we witnessed another significant transaction underlining the robust activity within Zambia's poultry value chain. A client from Lusaka acquired 50 one-month-old teen birds from Mrs. Muchiya, one of our dedicated brooder unit farmers in Chongwe.

Mrs. Muchiya, currently managing a flock of 1,000 birds, demonstrates consistent growth and efficiency. This recent sale marks her sixth cycle of Zambro teen birds, following a purchase of 500 chicks just last week. Her commitment to maintaining a continuous supply of quality dual purpose birds is inspiring.
