Secrets of livestock production.
When people say livestock farming is a business they mean a farmer should take farming as an investment that will pay back at a right time.
Lists of items to consider when going into livestock farming.
1) Capital (money to buy the actual livestock and equipments)
2) Biosecurity ( It is almost impossible to keep animals safe from diseases when they just mix anyhow)
3) Vaccinations: Vaccination is a must if you are to protect your livestock.
4) Have a personal plan on how you are going to control diseases. It's a fact that the Vet department has put some animal diseases under management by the farm owner. This means expecting that vet will be giving drugs or free services is a long gone dream and can only possibly frustrate your good plans for reference one can request for SI 2018 of the animal health act of 2010.
5) Nutrition: Nutrition for animals is as important as in human beings.
6) Knowledge: Take time to learn new things either from reading books, interacting with fellow farmers, and attending meetings from trained officers.
7) Record keeping: Failing to keep records is like walking in darkness without a guide.
