An interesting Myth buster from the Allergy Foundation of South Africa. Allergies are very difficult to pin point and extensive testing needs to be done to determine exactly what is causing your allergy so don't be quick to accept a statement that your bird is causing your allergy. It's not likely according to the AFSA!

Allergy - I am allergic to feathers!
Truth: Probably not. Feather and goose down allergies are likely over diagnosed by testing/self-diagnosis. Dust mites are the more likely culprits for indoor bedroom allergy sniffles.
