Jerry Selwane established SARAC in 2011, Prior to this he worked for the SPCA. He had a great vision of saving Animals and was not able to pursue his passion at the SPCA and he decided to create his own organization, funded initially from his own savings. reness of cruelty to those without a voice
Jerry has enlisted the help of youngsters from the townships as his Ambassadors and they are affectionately known as Jerry's Rangers. In 2014 Jerry located, traced and arrested a man who was so horribly Bashing a defenceless goat on a video which was circulating on YouTube ( Google Jerry's arrest a goat basher), it was later established that some prominent rescue centre in the country were trying to locate and identify the suspect without success, but it took Jerry only 24 hours to travel a distance of 850 km to find the suspect. In 2015 Jerry was brutally mugged, while trying to save an injured Donkey, but that never deterred him from achieving his goals. Jerry hasn't stopped doing wonders for the community and animals, raiding fighting syndicates rescuing kids coerced into the dark world of fighting syndicates, helping communities with food parcels etc
