Kunene Coral Cobra - Aspidelaps lubricus cowlesi

It's distribution ranges from South western Angola and north-western Namibia (Kaokoveld).
Max size 60 to 75cm.
Venom is neurotoxic with no anti-venom available. Medical treatment will have to be done symptomatically.

Bitis parviocula - Ethiopian Mountain Adder

This beautiful large adder's distribution ranges from Southern Ethiopia. It can grow up to approx. 1.3m. It has only been described in 1977. It's scalations also resembles the Puff adder, but the colors differ substantially as it's dorsum is pale to dark green or yellow brown. The distinguishing marking between Bitis parviocula and Bitis arietans is two dark marks which are seperated by a light pale transverse line behind the level of the eyes. It has beautiful diamond shaped patterns on the back. It is venomous but known to be a placed snake, hissing when feeling threatened.
