Ikangwa Bullmastiff Ikangwa Bullmastiff is a pure bred KUSA registered kennel We suffered a great loss in 2016 (RIP Diesel). In 1934, the AKC recognized the Bullmastiff.

Ikangwa started with our pride and joy "Lamejor Diesel" son of "Kugel Percy Montgomery of Lamejor & Courtney's Pride a Star is born of Lamejor" born November 2013. Since then our family expanded with "Juohn Lady Rose" daughter of "CH Bullsaints' Elder Gjordur of Juohn & CH Shadowguard Lady Catherine of Juohn". Ikangwa

History of Bullmastiff breed
“Bullmastiffs are a large working breed originating in Britain in the mid 1800’s as estate guardians to ward off poachers. They were bred by gamekeepers for strength, size and speed using a cross of the tough, heavy and aggressive Bulldog of the 19th century with the large, strong, less aggressive Mastiff. As a result, the Bullmastiff is known as the Gamekeeper's Night Dog. The preferred colour, by gamekeepers, was brindle, as this colour works as a more effective camouflage, especially at night. The Bullmastiff breed was deemed pure by the English Kennel Club in 1924, with a genetic background of approximately 60% Mastiff and 40% Bulldog. The first standard for the breed was approved in 1935.” - From Wikipedia

NAPC TOP DOG Invitational Competition held on Sundat 14th of January 2024 at Goldfields Showgrounds

Being absent from the showring for more than 6 months and still qualifying for the NAPC TOP DOG Puppy and Winning the Working group BPIG and ending up as Reseve Best NAPC Puppy tells it all.
At just 18 months old, he is already proudly following in his Father's footsteps.
