Discover Japanese poetry and art at each station along the blossom trail. Follow step-by-step origami instructions on route and complete your own origami masterpiece by the final stop🏮

👣𝟓𝐤𝐦 𝗪𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐥: Breathe in the fresh air and enjoy the beauty of our farm. The trail offers birding enthusiasts plenty of chances to spot local birdlife.

🫟𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐦𝐩 𝐑𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲: Pick up a farm map and hunt for hidden stamp stations. Complete your map and enjoy a delicious froyo reward.

🎯𝐁𝐢𝐫𝐝 𝐁𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐨: try to spot the birds on your card - four stickers means bingo!

🤼𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐨 𝗪𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠: Suit up and give it a go, guaranteed laughs and photos you’ll keep forever.

🚲𝐁𝐢𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤: Don’t forget to bring bikes and helmets so the little ones can ride.

Plus, come hungry- there’s a range of food vendors serving delicious Japanese-inspired street food.

How could we not jump on the trend?🐭

Did you know we have our very own children’s book: 𝐁𝐢𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐦𝐚’𝐬 𝐑𝐚𝐬𝐩𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐦? 📖We created it to share our story in a fun and memorable way with all the kids who visit the farm.

Kids will have a blast searching for coloured stones hidden among the raspberry bushes🌱𝐑𝟏𝟎𝟎 𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐠𝐠 𝐇𝐮𝐧𝐭 & 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐞𝐞.

Once they have found the 3 different coloured stones these will be exchanged for:

Our Story

Mama Lungi is the heart behind The Field Berry Farm. We are a raspberry farm situated in the South of Joburg. Lungi’s love for the berries and farming is felt in the atmosphere when berry picking at our farm.

Lungi’s story:

I joined this Christian community as a domestic worker in 1991. The aim of the community was for black and white Christians to live together as neighbours. In 1993, I started a chicken business which had many challenges. I then had the opportunity to study, and completed a computer course. I got my licence at the age of 53 and now I own the berry project.

We have had 25 wonderful years together and all feel privileged to have had the opportunity to share life in this beautiful place. We have laughed together, cried together, fought and grown together.
