🐾 WHAT DOES TOMORROW BRING? 🐾

Yesterday, we sterilised four dogs—and held one precious soul as he crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. 🌈💔

Today, we have to find homes for three unwanted cats and two unwanted dogs…

And that is besides all the beautiful furkids already depending on us—every single day.

What will tomorrow bring?

We honestly have no idea.

But right now, we must worry about today.

We must make sure they are safe.
We must feed them, comfort them and care for them.
We must arrange veterinary treatment, vaccinations and sterilisation.
We must clean kennels, administer medication and monitor their health.
We must rehabilitate broken bodies and frightened hearts.
We must search for responsible, loving homes.
And sometimes, we must make the most painful decisions of all.

Rescue is not simply putting food into a bowl.

It is accepting complete responsibility for a life that somebody else no longer wanted.

It is a commitment—morning and night, through emergencies, heartbreak, exhaustion and uncertainty.

Today, they need us.

🐾 MEET BINGO — ONLY 9 MONTHS OLD! 🐾

Bingo is a beautiful, fluffy young boy who is desperately waiting for a family to call his own. ❤️

He is currently around the size of a Jack Russell. Because we have no information about his mother or father, we cannot confirm his breed, but we expect him to grow into a medium-sized doggo.

At only nine months old, Bingo still has his whole life ahead of him. He should be discovering the joy of belonging to a family—not growing up in a shelter.

🐾 ANOTHER DAY AT PURRPAWS… 🐾

Today began with hope, responsibility and another important step in preventing unwanted litters.

Bailey, Pluto, Bingo, Curry and darling little Stitch were all taken to be neutered. Nula was booked for her spay as she prepares to leave for her new furrever home. ❤️

These are the moments that remind us why sterilisation is such an important part of rescue. Every procedure helps prevent more unwanted animals from being born into a world where shelters are already overflowing.

But rescue days can change in an instant…

Spikkels went to the vet for what we believed would be a follow-up appointment. Instead, we received the heartbreaking news that his lymphoma had progressed—and we had to make the most painful, loving decision of all.

Our precious boy was softly sent over the Rainbow Bridge. 🌈💔

One moment, we were celebrating animals receiving the care they needed. The next, we were saying goodbye.

And while our hearts were breaking, the work continued…

Animals still needed to be fed.
Kennels still needed to be cleaned.
Medication still had to be given.
Every animal’s wellbeing still had to be checked.
Calls about surrendered, stray and dumped animals continued coming in.

This is another day at PurrPaws.

It is hope and heartbreak existing side by side. It is saving lives, preventing future suffering and sometimes loving an animal enough to let them go peacefully.

Today, five boys took an important step towards healthier futures, Nula moved closer to her new beginning—and Spikkels left his pawprints forever on our hearts.

Run free, precious Spikkels. You were loved until your very last breath, and you will never be forgotten. 🌈🐾

🐾 MAGNUM NEEDS A LIFELINE! 🐾

11 MONTHS OLD • CATTLE DOG • DEAF • URGENTLY NEEDS A HOME

Magnum is only 11 months old — still a baby with an entire lifetime ahead of him. ❤️

This beautiful Cattle Dog boy is deaf, but please don’t let that make you overlook him. Deaf dogs can live wonderfully happy, active and fulfilling lives. They simply learn to communicate differently, using hand signals, routine and visual cues.

💔 So why does Magnum urgently need a new home?

He does NOT like cats.

His current circumstances mean that this has become a serious problem, and Magnum desperately needs a CAT-FREE HOME where everyone can be safe and he can finally settle.

Being deaf and not liking cats does not make Magnum less deserving.

He is still loving.
He is still intelligent.
He is still trainable.
He is still only 11 months old.
And he still deserves someone who will say:

“You’re different, Magnum — but you’re perfect for me.” ❤️

His ideal family should understand the energy and intelligence of a Cattle Dog, have a secure property, be willing to learn how to communicate with a deaf dog, and most importantly — NO CATS.
