For those who don't formally know the team behind Echotrack K9 Training & Kennels.
These two gentlemen form the backbone of a company I am incredibly proud of and I definitely have them to thank for the place we are at today.
Tapiwa is the manager and he's been with us for nearly four years. Brave is our kennel assistant who quickly fell into place and has been with us for nearly a year. Both share my love and compassion for dogs and are incredibly hard working and jack of all trades 💪🏽
There is nothing more valuable to a company than the reliable staff that keep things ticking and we all appreciate you! 🙏🏽

If you know me, you know how I feel about crates. There is no knowing me without knowing this 😂

I will always try to encourage my puppy class clients to utilise crate training when raising their dogs.
THERE ARE NO CONS TO CRATE TRAINING.
every single puppy I've had since this girl here , Echo, my first working dog, has been crate trained and I will never not do it. She's just been spayed (at five years) and her recovery period has been a breeze. The day after the op when I had to leave the house, I crated her to avoid jumping on and off the couch. And because she knows and enjoys the crate, there was no drama. She's calm, she's relaxed. I can leave my dog at the vet after a procedure without a phone call five minutes after to say, fetch your dog she's going mental in the crate.

Benefits of crate training:
+ Easier to house train a dog/puppy
+ No belongings/valuables/dangerous items chewed in your absence KEEPS YOUR DOG AND BRAND NEW SHOES SAFE
+ Assists in preventing separation anxiety
+ Assists in managing dogs post injury/operation
+ Assists in teaching dogs to settle /encourages calm behaviours
+ Assists in managing aggressive/reactive dogs when guests come over
+ Assists in managing a multi dog household
+ Creates a safe space for dog to retreat to when overwhelmed (preventing bites because the dog had no where to go where they weren't bothered by kids/visitors).
+ Assists in preventing bad behaviours in a vehicle (my dogs are crated when I drive).
+ Crash tested crates can SAVE YOUR DOGS LIFE IN A VEHICLE ACCIDENT

We received the saddest news about the passing of two of our beautiful and much loved boarders, Cody and Archie.
They may not have belonged to us, but every dog that passes through claims a piece of our heart ❤
May they rest in peace and may their families have strength and healing during this difficult time. Thank you for trusting us as their temporary guardians while you were away.

Thank you Country House school for having me yesterday. One of the nicest schools I've ever had the privilege of doing a demo and search at 😍

My dogs and I loved the opportunity to teach the kids about the importance of listening, what we do as a working dog team and safety around strange dogs. And most importantly that SAPS, MLE and security officials are there to protect you and your community 🤟🏽

As always our gear came in handy to demonstrate what a dressed working dog looks like and the importance of badges for identification ✅
