My most extreme doggy make-over yet. This 16 year old chow had been struggling in the heat, even after a deshed about a month ago. But instead of a plain old summer cut, her owner decided that style was a must! Look at her strut her stuff ❤🤎❤

Ps. Despite the controversy about shaving double coated dogs, there are no studies to confirm the claims that shaving a double coat is cruel. In fact, studies show that shaving a coat can help prevent heat stroke, not cause it. Take a look:

There's nothing better than trimming fluff and revealing two shiny marble eyes 👀🤎 This busybody, Stoffels, was such fun! As a wire fox terrier, his transformation was satisfying and refreshing. I couldn't wait to see his sister next!

Sweet old Lucky tolerated the scary clipper noises as best as he could! I don't normally do mobile grooming, but sometimes we have to make exceptions for fur-clients who are too scared, elderly, or disabled. Well done lucky! I just know you're feeling more comfortable and fresh.

Older dogs aren't able to clean themselves as well as they used to and can accumulate painful matting and smelliness rather quickly. If you have an older dog or a dog with a disability, be sure to book them in regularly for a Hygiene Snip & Clip or Deluxe Wash & Groom here at Wag & Wash.

This week's "Dog Of The Day" is Panda, a sweet older lady who came in for a de-shedding. I love my elderly clients to bits and always make sure to treat them with the extra tender love and care they require for a positive grooming experience.
