🔪 SUPPORT GCAW WHILE SHARPENING YOUR TOOLS 🐾

On Tuesday, 9 June 2026, from 10:00am to 2:00pm, Don Southey will be outside the Giant's Cup Animal Welfare Second Hand Shop in Underberg offering a sharpening service, with all donations going towards GCAW's animal welfare work and veterinary expenses.

Don can sharpen:

🔪 Kitchen knives (large and small)
🌿 Secateurs
🪓 Blades
🌱 Spades
🛠️ Various garden and household cutting tools

❌ Unfortunately, scissors cannot be sharpened.

This is a wonderful opportunity to get your tools and knives back in top condition while supporting animals in need at the same time ❤️

🐾 COMMUNITY OUTREACH UPDATE 🐾

Yesterday's outreach was a slow but incredibly rewarding experience.

Our team spent over 6 hours driving throughout the area while Slender informed residents of our arrival using a loud hailer. We then drove through the area again, and many people were waiting for us along the roadside with their animals.

During the day the team:
🐶 Vaccinated 52 dogs against rabies
🐶 Dewormed all 52 dogs
🐶 Treated all 52 dogs for ticks and fleas
🐱 Assisted 10 cats, with 5 cats successfully dewormed
The cats certainly kept us on our toes! Some arrived in bags, some wrapped up securely, and one particularly feisty cat was brought in a closed bucket. Handling them safely required patience, teamwork and a sense of humour.

A huge thank you to the community members who brought their animals for treatment and to our dedicated volunteers who make these outreach programmes possible.

Every vaccinated and treated animal is a step towards a healthier community for both animals and people. ❤️🐾

🐾 ADORABLE PUPPIES LOOKING FOR LOVING HOMES 🐾
These beautiful puppies are approximately 7 weeks old and are getting ready to start their next chapter with loving forever families ❤️
🐶 6 girls and 2 boys available
🐶 Expected to grow to medium to large size
🐶 Playful, curious and full of personality
The puppies will be ready to go to their new homes in the next couple of weeks, but can be viewed in the meantime 🐾

We are looking for responsible, loving homes where they will be cared for as part of the family.
