It’s with a heavy heart that I share the passing of sweet Bella. I had the privilege of looking after Bella and her sister, Lilly, and she was truly one of the most wonderful dogs I’ve ever known. Bella had such a gentle, loving soul—always full of kindness, always ready with a wagging tail, and always bringing joy to those around her.

She had a way of making every moment special, whether it was through her playful energy or her quiet companionship. Bella was more than just a pet; she was family, a loyal friend, and a source of endless love.

I’ll always cherish the memories of her, and she will be deeply missed. Rest easy, beautiful girl. You were so loved. Riaan Naude Antoinette Naude

×Fresh, clean water
×Shade/a place to cool down
×Don't leave them in cars even if you leave the window open.
×If you suspect heatstroke treat as fast as possible.
×When you walk your dogs do it early morning or just before sunset.
It's easy for our pets to overheat in warm weather. Unlike us, they can't remove layers when it gets hot, and they don't always have an option to move themselves to cooler places or avoid the sun. Animals are unable to cool down by sweating as humans do, so they are less able to regulate their body temperature.

Today, I want to take a moment to remember a very special girl, Alexi, the golden retriever I had the joy of walking every Tuesday. Yesterday, she passed away , and my heart is heavy with the loss. Alexi brought so much joy and love every moment with her playful spirit and gentle nature. She had a way of making every walk feel like an adventure, and her wagging tail always brightened my day. I will miss our peaceful walks together, the way she would lay down on the sidewalk to rest on our walks , and the countless happy moments we shared. Rest in peace, sweet Alexi. You will always hold a special place in my heart. ❤️‍🩹
