An important message to all our clients and the communities we serve.
VETERINARY CARE AND UNREALISTIC EXPECTATIONS……
We are seeing a deeply concerning increase in non- payment, threats of negative social media exposure/reputational harm and attempts to extort and emotionally blackmail our Veterinarians into providing free services by certain unscrupulous individuals.
Veterinary care is a highly skilled resource-intensive service. It requires years of training, ongoing education, dedicated staff, medical equipment and the consistent availability of medication and supplies.
Like any other medical or professional service, it is not FREE and cannot be sustainably provided without fair compensation. The assumption by some individuals that Veterinary care should be a charity model is total absurdity.
Let us be absolutely clear:
We will not tolerate any form of abuse, intimidation or extortion, be it PRIVATE, RESCUE or WELFARE.
Expecting Veterinary professionals to personally fund on-going treatment or to extend long term payment arrangements is neither realistic nor fair. It places strain on the very systems that allow us to provide safe high-quality care.
Animal welfare is always our priority- which is a 2-way street…. BUT COMPASSION DOES NOT MEAN WORKING FOR FREE
Thank you to all our loyal clients whom support and respect the work we do.
