Storms River Guest Lodge We are a Bed and Breakfast, located in the heart of the Tsitsikamma, along the Garden Route. Tsitsikamma is a Khoi/Nama word meaning 'place of abundant water'.

Storms River Guest Lodge is located in the peaceful village of Storms River, in the heart of the Tsitsikamma, which forms part of the Garden Route. The region is bordered at the north by the Tsitsikamma Mountains and in the south by the Indian Ocean. The village is surrounded by natural occurring indigenous forest, Fynbos and commercial plantations. This charming lodge is a Bed and Breakfast (whic

h is suitable for small and large groups), consisting of a double story building with 14 spacious, en-suite rooms. The top story has a large veranda that offers panoramic views of the Storms River Mountain Peak and the tranquil lodge gardens. Other facilities include a private swimming pool that the whole family can enjoy. In addition, the lodge is in close proximity to a variety of exciting activities that cater to both the adventurous, and those looking to put their feet up for a relaxing break. The area also hosts a number of meandering hiking trails, the Tree Top Canopy Tours; Black Water Tubing; mountain biking; Segway and horse riding. The area also boasts the highest commercial bungee jump at Bloukrans Bridge. The Storms River Mouth – with its spectacular shoreline – is the start of the famous Otter Hiking Trail and is situated in the Tsitsikamma National Park and is a mere 10 kilometres away. For a more relaxing experience, there is the Tsitsikamma Mountain Spa where you will be pampered. With such an abundance of natural beauty, it is hard to resist the allure of this magical place. What better place to settle in for the night, after an exhilarating day outdoors, than the Storms River Guest Lodge? Storms River Village offers a wide range of options when it comes to eateries and restaurants.

Taste Restaurant and Farmstall is located right next door to us. They specialise in SA cuisine, seafood and a variety of other delicious dishes.

Tsitrus Cafe is only a few houses down and serves the best pizza in the village.

Marilyn’s 60’s Diner is an experience of note, with its Cadillacs and Chevys, neon rimmed signage, 50s and 60s decor, and Elvis and Marilyn memorabilia. Also the best American burgers and milkshakes around.

Tsitsikamma Micro Brewery is perfect for a drink, Hunters' Pub is a cosy spot for dinner, De Oude Martha Restaurant is located at the hotel and Aria's is a family-oriented restaurant offering proudly South African meals, deli products, braai meats and cheeses.

Room 15 is a light and airy double en-suite room on the southern side of the building. Located upstairs, the room has a Queen-size bed with an electric blanket to keep the winter chill at bay. The room opens onto the balcony with its view of the front garden area.

The entrance to the Plaatbos forest is just around the corner and down the road from Storms River Guest Lodge. The indigenous forest has various walking trails, or alternatively, cycle down the old Storms River Pass road to the low water bridge across the river.
