HUMAN, I see that you are crying because my time has come. Please don't cry, I want to explain a few things to you.
I know you are sad that I left, but I am happy because I met you. How many like me die every day without meeting someone special? We animals know cold, hunger, fear and loneliness. We see faces that pass by without looking at us and sometimes it is better if they don't. But one day, among so many people, an angel appears... and everything changes.
They give us a home, a name, a safe haven. They teach us love. And from that moment on, fear disappears. We don't care about the rain, the noise of cars or the danger, because we are no longer alone.
That is why, even though you are saying goodbye to me today, I don't want you to feel guilty. You did more than you can imagine: you gave me a name, affection, warmth and the joy of feeling loved. We animals live in the present. The past doesn't matter when love embraces us.
Before I go, I ask you for two favors:
Wash your face and smile. Keep in your heart the happy moments we shared and, please, do not close your heart to love. There are many like me who are still waiting for someone like you. Do not let the fear of suffering stop you from giving love to those who need it most.
From now on, I will be your angel. When you look up at the sky and see a star shining, you will know that it is me telling you: "I am fine, thank you for loving me".
I do not say "goodbye", but "see you soon". In that heaven where noble souls meet again, I will be waiting for you❤️
