Wagtail was opened back in 2009 by Celia de Waal on the Mooizicht wine estate in the beautiful town of Stellenbosch. Celia have been on the estate for 30 years as a wife to the wine maker and mother to her 4 children. She has embarked on many ventures, all which has been a great success, but her biggest passion and dream only realized in 2008. With a passion for animals, especially dogs, Celia alw
ays wanted to open a grooming parlour. There was a problem though, the only places where she could be trained to groom dogs in South Africa is in Johannesburg. After many years of searching and waiting she finally found a course in Cape Town in September 2008, 6 weeks later she was a qualified dog groomer and she has never looked back. The business started out with only a few fliers and a hand full of clients but has grown and is increasingly satisfying new and old customers. The service is also personalized to your dogs needs and the price is determined by requirements such as size. Another GREAT bonus is the amazing Pick-up, Drop-off service that Wagtail offers its clients. Just a phone call and either Celia or her right-hand man Pieter Slingers will pick up your pooch at your door, and before you know it, you have a clean, great smelling dog back in your home. From Stellenbosch - Drive towards Kuilsriver on the R310, turn right into the Stellenbosch Kloof Rd. Keep straight for about 3km and take the left fork in the road. Keep your eyes open for the Wagtail sign on your left hand side :)
