🚨🐾 URGENT VET BILL APPEAL 🐾🚨

Rescue never stops… and neither do the vet bills 💔
We are currently sitting with a veterinary bill of R15 722.15 at Ballito Veterinary Clinic, and we desperately need help.

Every animal that comes into rescue deserves a chance, whether abandoned, sick, injured or forgotten. We do everything we can to save them, but we cannot do it alone 🥺

🐾 RESCUE DOG DAY — HAROLD’S STORY 🐾

Harold’s story started on the streets of Stanger.
Alone, injured, and exhausted. His ear was almost completely torn off and he had a painful wound around his neck. 💔

He was rescued, rushed to the vet, and stayed safely at the kennels while he recovered. Despite everything he had been through, Harold never stopped being loving, playful, and full of life. 🐶✨

Harold was adopted once before, but unfortunately the home wasn’t the right fit for his energy, and he was returned. That could have been the end of his story… but it wasn’t.

Because Harold finally found his forever family. 🏡❤️

Today, he is no longer the dog roaming the streets looking for safety. He is loved, cared for, and exactly where he belongs.

Rescue changes lives. Sometimes not immediately, sometimes not perfectly — but every rescued dog deserves the chance to be seen, healed, and loved. 🐾

Happy Rescue Dog Day, Harold. You made it. 🤍

🌧️🐾 Yesterday afternoon we received a message about a kitten crying from inside a manhole. By the time we got there, it was already dark. We could hear him crying, but we just couldn’t see where he was trapped. 😞

This morning, we went back and tried everything we could think of. 🛠️🐱 We even built a little rescue team determined to get him out safely. ❤️

And after all the effort… we finally got him! 🙌🐾

Meet Storm 🌩️ this beautiful little boy who fought so hard to be found. 🤍🐈

💔 UPDATE 💔

The dog was taken to the vet. He was exhausted, completely drained, and badly injured.

After assessing his condition, we made the heartbreaking decision to let him go peacefully. 🕊️

We are so sorry, boy… sorry that your owners failed you. Sorry that the world was so cruel to you. At least in your final moments, you were surrounded by people who cared. ❤️

Run free, sweet boy. No more pain. 🌈🐾

🐾 IS THIS YOUR DOG? 🐾

This senior boy has been roaming the area since Saturday, with many failed attempts to safely catch him. He has finally been secured.

He appears to be extremely old, exhausted, and in need of comfort and care. 💔

We are also urgently looking for a compassionate foster or forever home where he can peacefully live out his remaining years surrounded by love and safety. If you’re willing to help, please reach out. 🙏

🐾 Every rescue starts with one act of kindness🐾

At Stanger Animal Rescue, we are a foster-based rescue dedicated to saving, rehabilitating and rehoming abandoned and vulnerable animals in need.

Since 2021, we have:
• Sterilized over 300 cats and dogs
• Rescued and rehomed over 200 kittens and cats
• Rescued and rehomed over 50 dogs and puppies

Every day, more animals need help but with very limited space, finances and volunteers, we are struggling to keep up. That is why we have launched a BackaBuddy campaign to help us build a safe shelter for the animals we rescue. 🏡🐾

A shelter would mean:
🐶 A safe space for abandoned dogs and puppies
🐱 Protection for vulnerable kittens and cats
🩺 Better recovery areas for injured and sick animals
❤️ More lives saved and more animals given a second chance
