Given what has happened in the past few months , I look at these pups in quite a different light. So basically what I am saying is … if I was picky before I am now a whole new level of picky.
I know we are all aware of the fragility of life but we do have times where it is brought home strongly . And the precious blessings that these little lives hold is very important to me.
They are little pandoras boxes of life and laughter and memories to be made. They are also fragile and finite as we all are and will bring immeasurable joy as well as a depth of sadness when they return to spirit sooner than dogs should, as all dogs do .
This awareness brings me to hold them close and tell them they are loved and special and safe.
Their vulnerabilities are very clear to me.
So when people ask have they homes already? My answer is no.
I have lists yes.
But each pup will be matched to a person that feels completely right to me. Even one dog rehomed down the line means that me as breeder has failed and did not see something in an owner that should have been a red flag.
And I know that it’s impossible to control all eventualities that happen in peoples lives but it’s up to me to be the advocate and guardian for these precious little bundles of potential.
It’s a side to the equation that puppy buyers will never understand. The hands that usher them into life are the hands that place them in life and that should be for life.

Breeders see more than one decade of weaving with bloodlines to bring that cute bundle into with world. We can glance at that pup and see the shadows of the dogs we loved and lost in that little fur ball.
And that journey I can tell you is one of love and loss.

Hours and hours of training and traveling
And so so much more.
It’s the deepest love and the most heartbreaking pain of goodbyes said too soon.
So do you really understand why we ask so many questions.
Can you see that if my gut says … you are not up to this task , this legacy in four legs and wagging tail …. You will not get a pup from me.
Most times I get it right.
But this is one instance where if I get it wrong it is of utmost importance and if you get a dog from me and rehome it without me being involved, I swear you are persona non grata in my life and forever.
It will take all my will power not to haul out a voodoo doll !!!! And go all scourched Earth on your sorry ass.
So while I watch the little personalities unfold and grow I begin to see who fits where. Who resonates with who.

In the best interest of the pup I bred yes.
Those 3 little boys, combine Bob and Po s lines , they hold all my work is a breeder in their veins. I desperately needed a bitch from this mating but it was not to be.
These are 3 very special little boys.
