Milmac Feeds was founded over thirty years ago when the initial need was identified to supply a transport service for horse feed. The company began with a small truck and a driver, which delivered horse feed to surrounding horse owners. In 2000, Debbie Copeman, the current owner, purchased Milmac from Meryl McConnochie and during the last 18 years, Debbie has expanded the business dramatically by introducing a completely customer orientated approach through her unique style of sales and marketing.
In addition to its delivery service, Milmac encourages its customers to visit the newly revamped country-style shop for ‘own collection’ of products by offering them cash & collect discounts. Milmac’s sales compliment is truly customer orientated and welcomes clients at any time.
Milmac is an agent for all of the premiere feed manufacturers in South Africa; this includes Epol, Alzu, Equi-Feeds, Vuma, Spurwing, Afgri-Products, Capstone and Romix. Milmac launched its own brand of feed in 2005, which provides quality and nutrition at an affordable price. Milmac also offers a wide selection of roughage, that being, Eragrostis, Teff, Lucerne and Oat Hay. In 2016, Milmac introduced the revolutionary Cocobed which is a 100% natural and safe animal bedding produced by recycling coconut husks and Ecofibre Arena Surfaces which is a secure yet forgiving surface intended for all disciplines which is also produced by recycling coconut husks. The product range also includes all leading dog and cat feeds from Pedigree, Friskies, Whiskas, Jock and Montego, as well as a wide variety of poultry feeds supplied by Schmidt Feeds and Seeds, and many feed additives and supplements. Milmac also boasts a fully equipped tack department, stocking prestigious brands like Covalliero and Stubben as well as locally produced products. In 2018, Milmac expanded to include the Milmac Country Store, now stocking everything and anything from Antiques to Farm-style Home Decor and delicious Aloe Homemade Honey.
