For some children, especially children with autism and other neurological differences, connection and progress can happen in unexpected ways.
Hippotherapy uses the movement of the horse as a therapeutic tool. As the horse walks, its rhythmic, three-dimensional movement encourages the rider’s body to respond—engaging balance, posture, core strength, coordination and body awareness.

The warmth and sensory experience of the horse, the opportunity to focus, and the unique bond that develops between child and animal can create a calm and supportive environment where children can explore confidence, communication and connection.
