❄️ COLD WEATHER WARNING: Take Care of Your Pets! 🐾

As temperatures continue to drop, it's important to remember that our furry friends feel the cold too. Please make sure your pets are safe and warm this winter.

🐶 Bring pets indoors – If it’s too cold for you, it’s too cold for them!
🐱 Provide warm shelter – Outdoor animals need insulated, dry, and windproof housing.
💧 Check water bowls – Water can freeze quickly.
🚗 Check under your car – Cats and small animals may crawl under for warmth.
🧥 Short-haired pets may need a coat or sweater when outside.

Let’s protect the ones who depend on us. Share this post to spread the word! ❤️

❄️🥶 Brrr! It’s FREEZING in Johannesburg! 🥶❄️
The temperatures have dropped drastically, and just like us, our pets feel the chill too! At Helderkruin Vet Clinic, we care deeply about keeping your furry family members safe and warm.

Here are some essential winter tips to protect your pets during this icy weather:

🧣 Keep them indoors – Bring pets inside during the coldest parts of the day and especially overnight.
🛏️ Warm bedding is a must – Elevate beds off cold floors and add extra blankets for warmth.
🧥 Dress them up – Small breeds, elderly pets, and short-haired dogs benefit from a cosy jersey or jacket.
🚿 Avoid cold baths – Skip outdoor washes and use warm water with quick drying if a bath is necessary.
🔥 Watch for heat hazards – Keep pets away from heaters and open flames.
🥶 Know the signs of cold stress – Shivering, whining, anxiety, or reluctance to move could signal they’re too cold.

If you’re unsure whether your pet is coping well in this cold, give us a call or pop in for a check-up. Let’s keep those tails wagging, even in winter! 🐾💙

Brrr… the cold front has arrived in Gauteng!
As temperatures drop, don’t forget that our furry friends feel the chill too.

Here are a few quick tips to keep your pets warm and safe this winter:
• Keep them indoors: Especially at night when it gets icy.
• Provide warm bedding: Off the cold floor and away from draughts.
• Watch for signs of cold-related illness: Shivering, lethargy, or limping could indicate a problem.
• Senior pets need extra care: Arthritis and joint issues can worsen in the cold.

If you’re unsure how to help your pet through the winter, give us a call or pop into the clinic – we’re here to help!

Stay warm, Helderkruin!
