I couldn’t feel more strongly about this than I do especially due to circumstances in popular media within the last week.

My hope is that at some point the public demands more of dog trainers than they do currently.

Every time you lay your hands on your dog, every time you raise your voice, every time you suppress behaviour that you don’t like without taking the time to deconstruct what’s going on and teach your dog what you would like, you are now a bully.

It doesn’t have to be this way. And it especially doesn’t have to be this way with dogs have severe behaviour problems. For skilled individuals with a thorough knowledge and education of animal behaviour they can work through these issues without harming your dog. Don’t be fooled.
