August is slipping away far too quickly, and our sweet little Lotto Ambassa-Dogs, Dixie & Daisy, are still well behind their target for the month. We're asking our Townies to help us close the gap by getting a Lotto ticket, or even two. At just R20 per ticket, it's a small contribution that can make a big difference.

Not only will one lucky winner take home up to R10,000 in cash at the end of the month, but every single ticket sold helps us provide these beautiful girls with the love, care, and comfort they deserve while they wait for their forever home. ❤️

Looking for a best friend? Meet Fred. ❤️
📍 Dogtown - Gauteng

Fred is a 6-year-old Terrier blend who has been waiting patiently for his forever home since 2024, and we think it's about time someone noticed just how special he is.

Fred arrived at Dogtown with his sister, Ginger, both hoping for a second chance. Ginger has already found her happy ending, and now it's Fred's turn.

This handsome boy is everything you could want in a companion. He's affectionate, loves people, enjoys cuddles, and is always keen to spend time with his humans. Fred is also incredibly clever and shines during training sessions, especially when there's praise involved!

When he's not showing off his skills, you'll usually find him carrying around one of his beloved toys. Fred is super playful, loves a good game, and gets along well with other dogs too.

Whether it's a long adventure, a leisurely stroll, or some fun in the garden, Fred is happiest when he's sharing the moment with someone he loves.

After waiting so long, we're really hoping 2026 is the year Fred finds the family he's been dreaming of.

Townies, temperatures are already climbing, and it's only August 🥵

We're already feeling the heat, and our dogs are too! We're on the lookout for a few splash pools to help keep our dogs cool, comfortable, and happy during the long, hot summer ahead.

A pool can make a world of difference. Not only does it help dogs cool down, but it also provides enrichment, fun, and a welcome break from the heat while they wait for their forever homes.
