PRODUCTION MANAGER *Malelane Area – Mpumalanga: Our client is looking for a Production Manager – Sugarcane to join the team. Salary: COMPANY OFFERS AN ATTRACTIVE PACKAGE COMMENSURATE WITH THE LEVEL OF THE POSITION

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organising, and managing all production-related farm activities.

Only candidates with the relevant experience will be considered.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Grade 12/Matric.
• Diploma or degree in agriculture.
• Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in general farm production, specialising in sugarcane
• Contract management experience with regards to cane cutting, w**d control and mechanisation
• Ability to plan and self-manage with highly developed time management skills and ability to move effortlessly between tasks
• Computer skills – MSOffice, Outlook, etc.
• Literate in Afrikaans and English
• Third language will be an advantage
• Prepared to work long hours/overtime
KEY ACCOUNTABLE AREAS
• Responsible for full production cycle of sugarcane
• Active involvement in water management, including monitoring of probes
• Daily production planning and reporting to the Division Manager on all related matters
• Provide management with timely and professional support for all production related issues
• Manage all production processes in compliance with good farming practices and company policies and procedures
• Actively drive financial process via budget and monthly forecasts in conjunction with Division Manager
• Ensure timely and effective harvesting processes
• Ensure effective production administration in line with best practice
• Ensure compliance with and management of all labour and employer/employee related laws
• Control Key performance areas of subordinates
• Any ad hoc duties within the scope of employment as delegated by the general manager
