🙏 Rescue Update – Injured Cat from Booysens 🙏

We are relieved to share that we managed to find the owner of the injured cat we rescued in Booysens. The poor kitty had a badly damaged eye but thanks to the amazing team at Doornpoort Animal Clinic, the eye was successfully removed and they did it completely free of charge.

We are so grateful for their kindness and generosity. The cat is now safe and recovering well and the owner has been reunited with their fur baby.

Thank you to everyone who shared and supported us through this rescue. Every life matters.

We’re reaching out with hopeful hearts ❤️

Right now, we have around 70 dogs in our care – each one rescued, loved, and deserving of a full belly. 🐶 To keep them healthy and happy, we go through 30kg of dog food every single day!

Yesterday we rescued a skinny, malnourished pitbull in Soshanguve. The little one had been through a lot and we were hoping to give him a second chance. A kind person initially offered to take him in but sadly, he did not have enough resources or rest to provide the care the pup truly needs. He made the responsible decision to surrender the dog.

At this time our shelter is completely full.
We are urgently looking for another shelter, foster or rescue organization that can take him in and give him the care and love he deserves.

We are incredibly grateful to Christo and VitaFeeds Rooiwal for setting up a fundraiser in support of our shelter. Christo went above and beyond setting up a gazebo, printing posters, and spending hours chatting with us about animals. His passion and dedication truly shine through and it is clear he is a true animal lover through and through.

Thanks to their efforts we received:

🚨 Rescue Alert – Injured Stray Cat 🚨

We have just rescued a stray cat in Booysens who is in urgent need of medical attention. The poor cat has a badly injured eye it appears as though someone may have hurt him intentionally, possibly hitting or biting around the eye area.

We are rushing him to Doornpoort Veterinary Clinic right now for emergency care.

Please keep this sweet boy in your thoughts. We will share an update as soon as we know more from the vet.

Once he is safe and stable we will begin the search to find his owner if he has one.

Early this morning we received a call about a stray dog roaming around in an informal settlement. Without hesitationwe rushed to the location.

The poor dog looked tired, confused, and was clearly in need of help. Thankfully with some patience and care, we managed to rescue it safely. The dog is now at the shelter, safe, warm, and finally getting the love and attention it deserves.

We are overjoyed to share that one of our sweet kittens has found her forever home. A heartfelt thank you to the Motshweni family for opening their hearts and home to this precious little one.

They have named her Lola name as lovely as she is. Lola is already settling in beautifully and we couldn’t be happier knowing she is in such a loving environment.

Every adoption is a second chance and the Motshweni family has given Lola the happy beginning she deserves.
