❄️ Winter Wellness continues into July

Winter is still very much with us, so we have decided to extend our Winter Wellness Bundle for another month.

Our Winter Wellness Check-Up remains available at R450 and includes a practical check-in for dogs and cats, covering general health, weight, skin and coat, joint comfort, dental health, parasite prevention, vaccines, and a blood smear.

Selected discounted add-on services may also be available after the check-up, where clinically appropriate.

We are also extending our Winter Pet Photo Competition — so if your pet has been living their best blanket-burrower, sunny-spot-seeker, jersey-wearing, winter-drama life, you still have time to enter.

❄️ Winter pet check-in: cold weather or a health concern?

During winter, some pets may sleep more, move a little slower, or seem less enthusiastic about cold mornings.

Sometimes this is just a normal response to colder weather — but sometimes it can be a sign that something else is going on.

Keep an eye out for:

• Stiffness when getting up
• Limping or reluctance to walk
• Sleeping much more than usual
• Changes in appetite
• Drinking more water than normal
• Bad breath or difficulty eating
• Scratching, dry skin, or coat changes

If something feels “off”, it is worth checking.

Our Winter Wellness Bundle is available during June 2026 for dogs and cats at R450, with selected discounted add-on services available after the check-up, where clinically appropriate.

A member of the wider pet-loving community has started a BackaBuddy campaign to help raise funds for their dog’s upcoming operation.

As many pet owners know, unexpected veterinary care can place a heavy financial strain on a family. We are sharing their campaign to help spread the word and give our community the opportunity to support them if they are able to do so.

❄️ Spruit Winter Pet Photo Competition ❄️

June is Winter Wellness Month at Spruit Veterinary Clinic, and we want to see your pets in their best winter moments!

Whether they are wrapped in a blanket, wearing a cute jersey, curled up indoors, or enjoying a cosy winter nap — we want to see them.

There will be:

🐱 1 Cat Winner
🐶 1 Dog Winner

Each winner will receive a hamper including a voucher, grooming products, a toy, a blanket, and treats.

To enter:

Comment below with a clear winter-themed photo of your pet.
Add your pet’s name.
Make sure the photo clearly shows a winter setting, such as a blanket, jersey, cosy indoor moment, or similar winter theme.

If you are unable to post your photo in the comments, you are welcome to WhatsApp your entry to 067 735 6331.

Competition runs during June 2026.

For the month of June 2026, we are offering our Winter Wellness Bundle to help dogs and cats stay comfortable, checked, and protected during the colder season.

Our Winter Wellness Check-Up is available at R450 and includes:

• General health check
• Blood smear
• Weight assessment
• Skin & coat check
• Joint stiffness / comfort assessment
• Dental assessment
• Discussion on parasite prevention & vaccines

After the check-up, your pet may also qualify for selected discounted add-on services, where clinically appropriate. These may include nail clips, a**l gland expression, discounted vaccine fees if due, selected parasite products, recommended blood tests, and recommended X-rays.
