🐾 We’re Hiring! Veterinary Receptionist/Administrator[Part-Time]
📍 Clarendon, Pietermaritzburg

We’re looking for a friendly, organised, and animal-loving Receptionist/Administrator to join our team at Longmarket Veterinary Clinic

You’ll be the first smiling face our clients see, the calm voice on the phone, and an important link between pet owners and our veterinary team.

✨ What You’ll Do:

* Welcome clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism
* Answer phones, handle general enquiries, and take procedure bookings
* Maintain accurate client and patient records
* Handle over-the-counter sales
* Assist with basic admin tasks and filing
* Support the veterinary team with smooth daily operations

💡 You’re Perfect For This Role If You:

* Have excellent communication and people skills
* Are calm under pressure and can juggle multiple tasks
* Have strong computer literacy (Vet practice experience an advantage but not required)
* Are compassionate towards animals and their owners
* Are reliable, organised, and have great attention to detail

📅 Position Details:

* Working hours: 12 to 5pm
* Start date: 1st September 2025
* Training will be provided for the right candidate

Feline Leukaemia Virus (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) are contagious diseases that weaken your cat’s immune system - but early testing and prevention can make all the difference.

This June, we’re offering a special to help you protect your cat:

💉 FeLV/FIV test + FREE FeLV vaccine: R500
🩺 If your cat is already coming in for annual vaccinations - the test is just an additional R300!

🎁 The FeLV vaccine is completely FREE
❗ Note: Spicy or extra wriggly cats may require sedation - this will be charged separately based on weight.

(Unfortunately, there’s no vaccine for FIV, but knowing your cat’s status is important for managing their long-term health.)
