Dogs, people and children. People don't research the breed of dog that will fit into their lives. Fail to understand that all puppies are cute and they grow up to be adult dogs. Parents who don't teach their children that pups and dogs are not toys to be chased, jumped on, woken up while sleeping and more. When your dog has endured enough unwanted attention usually they will move away for some peace and quiet. Their space is invaded again so the dog growls, again the parents don't remove the child/children. Eventually the dog patience snaps and the child is nipped or bitten. A nasty experience and the parents blame the dog. The dog pays the price.

Please parents educate your children and yourself. Attend puppy/Dog Class even basic training is better than no training. Find a Trainer to assist you with a home routine, involve your children so that they also learn.

The SPCA and Rescue centre's are full they don't have the space or finances to deal with the many dogs brought to them.

Then there are those dogs who need new homes, families having to down size, families emigrating.

Please consider your future, life today is so uncertain, before adding a dog, "a best friend" to your home and family.
