Yarona Hilltop Red Sparkle (Simply Red SC x FS Sparkling Sapphire) who has been in the Sadam stables just over a year now, recently gave birth to a beautiful filly, Sadam Bella Donna out of EKS Malik. “Sparkle” as we call her, is also currently being trained under saddle and we hope to bring her into the show ring within the next 12 months!

We have a newcomer! We're excited to welcome Murjaan Al Amal to our stud, bred by Al Amal Arabians out of EKS Malik and Al Badr Alayna. Murjaan is a beautiful, tall 2-year old c**t with loads of potential for the show ring. We are looking forward to seeing how he develops over the years and sharing many beautiful memories together.

Loads and loads of fun at the South African Arabian Breeders Championship! Thank you to all involved for this fun show filled with good spirit, camaraderie, exceptional quality in all classes and of course love for the Arabian horse. As far as the Sadam team is concerned, our horses made us so proud!

- Simeon Sach: Champion Senior Country Pleasure and Champion Senior Costume.
- Sadam da Vinci: Champion Open Riding Horse and 4th in Top 5 Senior Hunter.
- Sadam Simply Ahsom: 5th in Top 5 Senior Hunter Pleasure.
- Sidi Shawa: 3rd in Top 5 Senior Show Hack
- Aryana Azaar: Champion Junior English Pleasure, Champion Junior Costume and a special award for the Best Mover of the Show!
- Sadam Shakira: Champion Junior Hunter Pleasure Horse and 3rd in Top 5 Open Riding Horse. What a mare she is turning into now. We are so proud of how far she has come over the last year.

Since the show the horses have been enjoying a well-deserved break and soon it will be back to the drawing board for us as we plan to go work on some areas for improvement here and there and maintain the excellent level that the horses have been performing at. We're also excited to introduce new junior horses to the show ring later in the year!

Arabian Summershow SA Show Report💥
We had a blast showing this amazing group of horses after a long year of training. Thank you to the organising committee for putting together such a spectacle. In no particular order:

- Sadam da Vinci (Priam x MH Zenobia): After some struggles in recent years he has now officially come into his own. Champion Open Riding Horse, 1st Adult Riding Horse and 5th in Top 5 Senior Hunter.
- Sadam Shakira (Simeon Sach x Sidi Shawa): Arabian type in abundance. 4th in Top 5 Novice Riding Horse and 3rd in Top 5 Junior Hunter Pleasure.
- Sadam Simply Ahsom (MH Ahsom x Mijasto Mishaa): The cool, calm character always doing his thing. An exceptional ride by Stephen for Champion Senior Hunter Pleasure and 4th in Top 5 Open Riding Horse.
- Sidi Shawa (Magnum Chall x Sidi Nadja): Such a beautiful comeback story. After having life-saving colic surgery earlier in her life and then being injured for 18 months with a pulled tendon, she is now fully back to her best and is even getting better! Beautifully ridden by Chanika Maritz for the Senior Country Pleasure Horse Champion title and by André Troost for the Reserve Champion Senior Show Hack.
- RLG Priceless Promise (Baywatch V x Priscilla V): Reserve Champion Senior Country Pleasure Horse. We will miss her in the show ring over the next year as she now goes into foal with Tempting Fire.
- Aryana Azaar (Tempting Fire x RLG Priceless Promise): Such a showstopper! Really progressing into a mature show horse now, with more muscle and condition. Junior English Pleasure Champion and Junior Costume Champion.
- Simeon Sach (Asfour x Simeon Seda): Our head boy still leading the charge with a beautiful ride in the Senior Costume class to claim the champion title.

Off to a well-deserved rest now until we pick up the reins in January in preparation for the 2026 South African Arabian Nationals hosted by the Arab Horse Society of South Africa.

The time has come. Following 18 successful years in the show ring, our evergreen Sadam Achilles has called it a day in the showring. At 22 years of age, he had his last show at this year's Northern Cape Arabian Horse Club Show.

Born on the 8th of August 2003 out of Bey Oaks Beystone and Sidi Yadviga, Achilles has never missed a single class at all the shows we attended through the years, since riding his first show at the 2008 Summer Show. Achilles achieved multiple Champion, Reserve Champion and Top 5 titles in the Show Hack and Open Riding classes but it was never about the achievements. Having his fun energy and unsquashable spirit in the horsebox, at the stables and in the show ring and always giving us a laugh and a smile is what we will miss most. Luckily, many more golden years await at home. Achilles is still in amazing shape so we will continue to share many great rides at home in the future!

As we now gear up for the 2025 Arabian Summershow SA taking place this week, we can feel his absence. Enjoy your retirement boykie!

Photos from our participation in the Arab Horse Society of South Africa 2025 South African Arabian Nationals show have arrived! With Carina and CJ's wedding that took place the week after the show, it was only André Troost and Stephen Kobe showing our 9 show horses. Thank you also to Kristen de Beer, Sienna du Toit and Marcus Roode for helping us out in the show ring!

Show report (in no particular order):
- Simeon Sach: Champion Senior Country Pleasure Horse and Champion Senior Costume Horse. All we can say is WOW. He was in the ZONE. He rolled back the years and rode like his junior years. Unthinkable that he is turning 17 this year. The way this legend just shows up every day and loves what he does is so inspring.

- Sidi Shala: 3rd in Top 5 Senior Show Hack. What a performance for her first time back in Show Hack after her 18 month injury. Still a bit to go to get back to her very best, but she's on her way!

- Aryana Azaar: Champion Junior English Pleasure Horse and Champion Junior Costume Horse. What a joy to watch! For us Azaar is the epitome of the modern Arabian show horse.

- Sadam da Vinci: Our pretty boy. This wasn't quite his show, courtesy of his usual "spookiness" at shows. But boy when he goes, he goes. Such a stunning Hunter. Next time we go again!

- Sadam Achilles: 4th in Top 5 Open Riding Horse. What can we say? When did 22 look this good? Achilles even won the qualifying Open Geldings class. A joy to ride and a joy to watch still in the twilight of his career.

- RLG Priceless Promise: Everyone's companion. Not quite her show this time around, but we'll go back to the drawing board and fix the niggly mistakes.

- Sadam Shakira: 3rd in Top 5 Junior Hunter Pleasure Horse and 5th in Top 5 Novice Riding Horse. Bred out of Sach and Shala, Shakira epitomises the perfect balance between the classic and modern Arabian: Type and performance. We look forward to seeing how she develops as she matures and gets stronger.

- Sadam Simply Ahsom: Simply awesome indeed. Champion Open Riding Horse, Reserve Champion Rider and 5th in Top 5 Senior Hunter Pleasure Horse. Cool, calm, collected and a massive heart.

- Sadam Sabrina: So beautifully ridden by Sienna in Senior Country Pleasure! She looked amazing!
