It’s that time of the year when grass seeds are wreaking havoc!! Take a look at the damage this one seed caused to Leia’s leg 😳 We then found at least fifteen other seeds partially buried into her skin, all of them eager to ruin her week. Please check your pets for grass seeds after walks in the park, especially the long coated breeds. You’ll be doing them a massive favour! 🌾☀️🦮

Despite having a lot to say en route to see Dr Luca, it was a fairly frustrating conversation once in consult. However, it soon became apparent that Miss Nugget had something seriously wrong in her mouth! After a good look inside, a severe abscess was discovered affecting a large part of her tongue and Dr Luca got to work cleaning it up under sedation. By the next day, she was back to her normal eating habits and tearing up the lawn once again! If your chicken is also behaving odd, give us a shout! These amazing creatures are so much more than just farm animals and make for incredible companions for many years! 😁🐓

In honour of the blood moon eclipse last night, check out our case of the day! Zenza, a senior Boston terrier female, was suffering from difficulty urinating and we discovered countless crystals and blood in her urine which created this beautiful image! Our digital X rays and ultrasound quickly showed the presence of multiple small bladder stones. With modern prescription foods, this case is responding to medical treatment and no surgery is required!

It can be really stressful for some pets to visit the vet…Luckily JP went the extra mile and made it more tolerable for his best friend Donny! If your pet suffers extreme anxiety with vet visits, please speak to us about dispensing something to help with the stress before arriving. Unfortunately JP has a full time job and isn’t always free to assist!
