Yorkies are such amazing dogs. You get them in all shapes ,sizes, and colours. Then we not even talking about personality. Every breeder has a look and personality trait that they aim to produce. What they see as the most perfect yorkie. ( based on their personal preference)
Let's take me as an example. I like a busy ,friendly and intelligent yorkie.
A yorkie with a fluffy colourful coat and a short face.
Now to produce that has taken years of putting the closest to what I have to that then matting her to a boy that has one of those categoristics that she doesn't have to hope to improve. The futher you go down the bloodline the closer you get to what you perceive as perfect but at the same time all those genetics are still in the dna of that mom.
Here comes what people don't always understand. That mom can now have a litter of 4-6 pup who can all look different.
She can have one that will look like her grandma and one that looks like her. We can can estimate what pups will look like but no breeder can ever guarantee anything. If that girl and same male had pups before we have a idee but with a 1st time mom we are guessing based on our experience of our lines.
It saddens me when a yorkie sometimes does not turn out ( looks wise) to what we thought and the new pet parent is so stuck on that one "fault" ( to long of a leg , a bit bigger than estimated) that they cant see all the other good in their baby to just love that yorkie that would die for them that loves them unconditionally.
My old girl Dolly-lee saved me when I was at my lowest point and has always loved me no matter what. She was 4kg. Not the smallest now at 16 years old she's over 6 kg. If I was so stuck on size I would have missed out on the 15 years of joy she has brought me.
I was going to add a foto of Nunie. To show you what I see as perfect. What it took me 15 years to produce. Then realised my Dolly-lee is perfect.
I'll add both 💞💖
