A NOTE ON VETTINGS

Capital Stud has a full vetting with X-Rays available for each sporthorse on Auction. All vettings and X-Rays were completed by Dr Mike Ross.

As Dr Mike Ross will not be attending the Auction in person this year, we advise all prospective bidders to contact him to discuss vettings, X-Rays and reports before November 28th.

WE’RE HIRING: WORK RIDER

Capital Stud is seeking a confident, capable, and experienced work rider to join our professional team at Summerhill Equestrian.

Key responsibilities:
•⁠ ⁠School and exercise young horses, contributing to their early education and gymnastic training.
•⁠ ⁠Provide regular feedback on each horse’s development, temperament, and performance.
•⁠ ⁠Assist in the preparation for auctions.
•⁠ ⁠Maintain a high standard of horsemanship and care, both on and off the horse.⁠⁠
•⁠ ⁠Support daily yard routines and uphold the highest standards of stable management

What we’re looking for:
•⁠⁠⁠ ⁠⁠Proven experience riding young horses.
•⁠⁠⁠ ⁠⁠Eligibility to live and work in South Africa

Farrier Day 🐴 Under the guidance of our skilled farrier, our SOE students learn the importance of looking after horses’ hooves. They gain knowledge not only through lectures and dissections but also by spending one-on-one time every week with our farrier, observing trims, shoeing, Equilox applications and foal hoof care. ⭐️
