Biscuit the brave Jack Russell was in the clinic for a dental procedure.

At Citivet, we prioritize your pet's safety. For Biscuit, this meant running pre-anesthetic blood tests before we began. These tests confirm that vital organs like the liver and kidneys are healthy enough to process the anesthesia, giving everyone peace of mind.

Everything was perfect, so Biscuit's procedure went ahead! We did find and remove a few painful teeth, which is going to make Biscuit much more comfortable. Now, this sweet patient is fully awake and ready for some home comforts (and soft food!).

Thanks to your unbelievable generosity during Mandela Month, we managed to collect a massive pile of food, toys, warm beds, and essentials for the animals at the SPCA! 🐶🐱

Madiba once said, “What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others.” You have made a huge difference for local shelter animals in need, and our hearts are so full.

🐱 "𝑩𝙪𝒕 𝒎𝙮 𝙘𝒂𝙩 𝙣𝒆𝙫𝒆𝙧 𝙜𝒐𝙚𝒔 𝒐𝙪𝒕𝙨𝒊𝙙𝒆!" 🐱

It's one of the most common things we hear! Many cat parents believe that if their feline friend stays 100% indoors, they don't need vaccines.
But our indoor kings and queens still need protection. Here is why:

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩 𝙀𝙨𝙘𝙖𝙥𝙚 𝘼𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙨: Cats can bolt through an open door if spooked by a loud noise or tempted by a bird. If they get outside, even for an hour, they are suddenly exposed to unvaccinated outdoor animals.

𝙎𝙣𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙮 𝙃𝙞𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙝𝙞𝙠𝙚𝙧𝙨: We humans can accidentally track bacteria and viruses (like feline panleukopenia, which is highly contagious and hardy) inside on our shoes and clothes.

𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙂𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙨: Fleas and ticks don't respect window screens. Ticks can easily ride in on your dog or your own clothes, and just one flea can quickly lead to a full-blown household infestation.

Keeping your kitty up to date on their basic vaccinations and deworming is the best way to keep them safe and happy. 🛡️
