DROP OFF AND COLLECTIONS:
Please note drop offs and collections are on an APPOINTMENT BASIS ONLY
We could very easily make it 9-9:30am and 3:30-4pm ONLY but that is inconvenient for you, the pet parents.
We DO NOT have the luxury of someone sitting waiting in an office all day so we try to arrange the feeding, cleaning, walking, playing, grooming around the BOOKED APPOINTMENTS. It used to be that the odd person was late but unfortunately it has now swung the other way where we have to pause the animal care while we wait around up to 2 hours for people to arrive. This is patently unfair and, in my opinion, exceptionally rude. I understand running late and traffic issues. I don't understand the lack of courtesy. I apologise for the tone of this to the people who are always on time but this situation has become absolutely untenable now

When your pets come to us we encourage you to bring whatever makes them feel at home be it their own beds, their teddies, their toys, bring it all! Treats? For sure! But please, do not bring rawhide chews, they will go straight into the bin. We have had 2 VERY close calls with dogs choking on them, if we weren't around constantly and ever vigilant (neurotic 😏) the events may have ended in tragedy

As the time of year is upon us and we start the festive shopping. The awful pet Christmas line is in all the shops... Please don’t get these for your pets this Christmas, as you can see this is rawhide and it has been artificially dyed red and green and glued into different shapes.

The vast majority of these rawhide products and treats come from China.

Their journey starts with the hides being soaked in a toxic sodium sulphide to remove the hair and fat. More chemicals are used in order to split the hide into layers which is then washed with hydrogen peroxide to give the white "pure" look and remove the rancid smell.

Now comes the pretty festive colours and the glue to form cute shapes.

They regularly cause intestinal blockages and choking. The chews go slippery when wet and are near impossible to get hold of to save a choking dog.

Please be safe this Christmas and pick a much nicer alternative for your pooches♥️
