I have never once questioned whether this was the right choice.

Not on the hard days. Not on the days where I was exhausted and running on empty. Not even during the seasons where I wondered how I was going to make it work.

Because at the end of every single one of those days, I came home to them. And that has always been enough.

Twenty five years of this life has taught me more about love, loyalty and showing up than anything else ever could. And if you’re someone who feels the same way about your animals - who factors them into every decision, who can’t imagine a life where they aren’t front and centre - then you’re exactly the kind of person I built this place for.
