✨🐴 From Rock Bottom to Rosettes: Woody’s Remarkable Rescue Story 🐴✨

Woody was found abandoned on a roadside in County Tipperary – collapsed, dehydrated, and "left to die" after being used in illegal sulky racing. Gardaí were called, and thanks to the incredible volunteers at My Lovely Horse Rescue, Woody was given a second chance at life. 💚

When he first arrived at the rescue farm, his ribs showed, his back legs were swollen, and he had little energy left. But with time, care, and kindness, Woody’s spark returned.

Enter 13-year-old Orianna – a schoolgirl who met Woody while he was recovering. She instantly felt a bond: “He has the kindest eyes and just the quietest nature. He’s a wonderful pony really.”

Together, they worked day by day – grooming, walking, training, and building trust. And last weekend, their journey reached a beautiful milestone: Woody won second prize at the Cork Summer Show in the In Hand Rescue Pony class. 🎉

From being abandoned and broken to proudly trotting into the show ring, Woody is proof of what love, patience, and resilience can achieve. 💖
