Piber Waterford Quake is our final breeding mare before we introduce our stallion and the future generation of Piber Stud.

Quake is probably one of the most well-known and loved horses on this page, and for good reason. She is my show mare and has achieved an incredible three consecutive Horse of the Year Supreme Clydesdale Mare titles. Even more impressively, when judged against all breeds and genders in the Supreme Championship, she placed 7th overall.

She combines beauty, presence, and quality in a way that makes her truly special, and she continues to be a wonderful ambassador for the Clydesdale breed. We are incredibly proud of everything she has achieved and excited to see her influence continue through future generations at Piber Stud

🐴 Piber Waterford Lollipop 🐴

Next in our series is Piber Waterford Lollipop, a truly special mare and an outstanding broodmare. She has already produced two stunning foals, and her filly is one of our future breeding mares who will be introduced soon.

Lollipop comes from a remarkable maternal line. Her mother and grandmother are both still alive, giving us four generations of this incredible family to enjoy and cherish. With a little luck, we hope to welcome a fifth generation in the near future.

While the show ring may not always tell the whole story, great breeding mares are the foundation of every successful stud. Lollipop continues to prove her worth through the quality, temperament, and promise of her offspring, and we are proud to have her as part of the Piber Stud family. ❤️

Next in our series is our stunning black Percheron mare, Gentle Giant Kendle. 🖤

Kendle arrived with her lifelong friend, Peace, and together they quickly stole our hearts. In 2024, Kendle achieved an incredible milestone when she was crowned Supreme Champion at Horse of the Year. Her beauty, presence, and quality are truly exceptional.

Despite her impressive size and show-ring success, Kendle lives up to her name. She is a gentle giant with a kind temperament and a loving nature.

We are incredibly proud to have this special mare as part of our family. 🐴✨

Our next horse I would like to introduce is Arran Sunset Candice. This special mare has quite a story to tell.

We were blessed with her beautiful daughter, who was hand-raised, due to the quality of Candice’s milk and it is heartwarming to see that Candice is still completely in love with her. Their bond remains incredibly strong.

Candice is a truly beautiful mare with the sweetest nature. She loves attention, has a gentle temperament, and is a much-loved member of our herd. We are incredibly proud to have her as part of the Piber Stud family. ❤️🐴

Next up is Piber Waterford Peace, one of my absolute favourite mares. This stocky roan beauty has always had a special place in my heart, as I have a real soft spot for a good roan horse.

A few years ago, I had the opportunity to purchase her from my dear friend Donna. Peace has gone on to produce two stunning foals. One is now a stud stallion owned by Tharia, while the other is an exciting young horse that will play an important role in my breeding program going forward.

Keep an eye out over the next few weeks, as this superb youngster will be making an appearance soon! 🐴❤️

Our next horse to introduce is the oldest horse on the farm and my very first Percheron mare.

At 17 years old, Gemini Milla is still as amazing as ever. A two-time South African Supreme Champion, she has produced some truly beautiful offspring and remains a special part of our farm.

Despite her massive size, she has never been afraid to break a pole or two, but beneath that powerful frame is a mare who absolutely loves hugs, attention, and spending time with her people.

Gemini Milla – a true champion and a mare that will always hold a special place in my heart. 🖤

Congratulations to Birgit from Archetrons Stud on the purchase of Piber Guinevere! 🤍

Out of Gemini Milla and Sterkfontein Prospector’s Kristoff, Guinevere is the second foal from Milla that you have bought from us. From the day she was born, you wanted her, and I knew she was meant to be yours.

She is going to be huge and we cannot wait to watch her grow and see what the future holds for her at Archetrons Stud.

✨ Over the next couple of weeks, I’ll be introducing all the horses of Piber Stud — each one special in their own way and all with their own story to tell. A huge thank you to Sumari Joubert for the beautiful photoshoot and stunning memories she captured for us. ❤️

First up is my very first Clydesdale and the true matriarch of the farm — Arran Sunset Yvette 👑

At 16 years old, she is simply the Queen of Piber Stud. Yvette has been such an important part of this journey and helped shape so much of what the stud is today.

Pictured here with her daughter, Piber Yvaine, now 2 years old — the young lady who will one day take her mother’s place, but definitely not just yet ❤️

Some horses are special… and then there are horses like Yvette, who leave hoofprints on your heart forever 🐴
