A proud first for Van Wijk Street Vet.

Our team recently performed our first TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) surgery, a specialised procedure used to address cruciate ligament injuries in dogs. This procedure is especially effective for medium to large breed dogs, helping to restore stability, improve comfort and support a better return to movement.

We are incredibly proud of this milestone and grateful to be part of Molly’s recovery journey.

Grateful for the beautiful compliments.

Muskiet sustained an injury to his left back leg. He was unable to use this leg for a lengthy period. The case got referred to our clinic for corrective surgery. Together we are stronger, and we enjoy working with our neighbouring veterinary clinics.

We wish Muskiet and the Joubert family all the best.

May Muskiet run like the wind as nature intended him to.

Giving every animal a healthier chance.

At Van Wijk Street Vet, we understand that owning a pet comes with financial responsibilities, from food and water to basic care and veterinary needs.

Through the VWS Vet Rush Tail Community Outreach Project, started in 2017, we focus on helping animals in need through important care such as castrations and sterilisations.

Since its inception in 2017, this outreach has assisted with 1,237 castrations and spays, helping to prevent unwanted litters, reduce health risks and give more animals the chance at a healthier life.

Because every animal deserves care, compassion and a healthier future.
