After 4 long months of waiting, hoping and patiently waiting for her forever family…

There were definitely a few tears at the AACL this morning. Saying goodbye is never easy when you’ve loved and cared for an animal for months. 💔 But these are the happy tears! 🥹❤️

From being stuck in a drain to finally being safe and going home… what an incredible journey! 🐾🏡

A HUGE thank you to Mr Shattock for opening his heart and home to Piper and giving this beautiful mama the second chance she deserves. ❤️🙏

We are so grateful you chose to adopt and make Piper part of your family. 🥹🐶

Go live your best life, sweet Piper. You waited long enough. ❤️

🌿🐾 A VERY BIG THANK YOU TO LADYSMITH PHARMACY! 🐾🌿

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Ladysmith Pharmacy, especially Estelle and Karin, for ALL the love, support and kindness they continue to show the AACL. ❤️🐶🐱

Karin Van Eck decided our plants needed some serious attention and got stuck in! 🌱😂 She worked her magic, gave the garden some much-needed TLC and even planted some beautiful new plants. 🌿🌸

Now, Karin is NOT a fan of photographs… 📸😂

But unfortunately for Karin… we got a sneaky picture! 🤣🙈

We tried to be respectful of her wishes, but when you work that hard at the AACL, you sometimes get caught on camera! 😂📸

Meanwhile, Estelle and Karin had another VERY important mission — spoiling ALL our big dogs with ostrich bones! 🦴🐕❤️

The dogs are now happily chewing away, keeping themselves busy and, quite frankly, completely ignoring us. 😂

From beautiful plants to very happy dogs, you have made such a wonderful difference at the AACL. 🌿🐾

The rats have been causing absolute chaos at the shelter, especially with our electrical equipment and wiring. 😩⚡ Your help is making a huge difference in keeping our shelter safer and protecting the equipment we rely on every day.
