Those who know Charmaine and follow our journey know that the last two years have tested her in ways very few people will ever understand.

There are days when the funds are finished, the vet account is overwhelming, the phone never stops, another animal desperately needs help and emotionally there seems to be nothing left to giveโฆ

She will beg for them. She will fight for them. She will sit beside them through the night. She will carry the broken ones. And when she loses one, she somehow finds the strength to wipe away the tears and fight for the next one ๐

The fearless women in animal rescue go out day after day, sometimes putting themselves in dangerous situations, witnessing things that would make most of us turn our heads and run away, constantly facing an endless need. And yet, they persevere, despite the exhaustion, the constant lack of funds, the cost to themselves and their sanity. They refuse to turn a blind eye to the neglect, abuse, exploitation, and cruelty our animals face. They rescue, feed, medicate, protest, and fight for EVERY precious life - they all matter and an animal rescuer will do anything to try to save them all, and to bring hope where it is needed most.
