Training should be fun for both you and your dog.

At Happy Dogs, we believe that learning works best when dogs feel relaxed and encouraged.

Whether you have a new puppy, an older dog who needs a refresher, or a dog who simply enjoys having something fun to do, training can help build better manners, confidence, and a stronger bond.

Small steps make a big difference.

With patience, kindness, and consistency, dogs can learn what we are asking of them, and owners can feel more confident too.

Happy dogs learn best when they are having fun.

Puppy school is just the beginning…

A lot of people think once their dog has finished puppy classes, the training is “done”. But the truth is, training is something that continues throughout your dog’s life.

Dogs grow, change, and go through different stages (just like we do!). What worked when they were a tiny puppy might not work so well when they’re a curious teenager or an excitable adult.

Regular training helps your dog:
- Stay well-mannered at home and out and about
- Feel more confident in new situations
- Strengthen their bond with you

It doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming, even a few minutes here and there makes a big difference.

Think of training as something you build on over time, not a once-off box to tick.

We’re here to help you and your dog every step of the way.

Worried about your small dog playing with the big guys? We’ve got the perfect solution.

It is entirely natural to worry about accidental injuries when your little dog mixes with larger, heavier breeds.

That is exactly why we created a dedicated Small Dog Play Care programme. We provide a secure, supervised environment where your dog can enjoy all the benefits of socialisation without the risks of mixed-size play.

Your dog gets to burn off energy, learn good social behaviour, and make friends their own size, while you get complete peace of mind.

Spaces are kept limited to ensure quality supervision. Get in touch today to see if a small dog group is the right fit for your furry friend!

This post is not your ordinary graduation post. It has a bit more nuance to it.

Sabrina adopted Koa as a puppy, knowing he was deaf. Despite his hearing impairment, Sabrina did not hesitate to give Koa a loving home.

She contacted us at Happy Dogs to start him off on his training journey, as she knew how valuable training is for a deaf puppy.

Her commitment has been nothing short of incredible. Every week, Sabrina taught Koa how to make sense of the world, purely through body language.

Koa has developed a strong bond with Sabrina, and we are proud to say he is top of his game. Having a deaf puppy does not hinder your training journey. In fact, Koa has responded so well that he is even doing tricks.

It has been a remarkable journey watching these two develop their own language and love.

Well done, Sabrina and Koa.

We look forward to watching you blossom in your lives together.

Huge congratulations to our Puppy 2 graduates

This phase is all about guiding dogs through their “teenage” months — a period full of growth, big feelings, and, at times, a bit of unpredictability for both dogs and their people.

Throughout the course, we built on those early puppy foundations and focused on helping these young dogs develop the skills needed to cope with an increasingly busy, distracting world. We worked on maintaining a strong, trusting bond between each dog and their human.

Adolescence isn’t always easy but it is an incredibly important window for learning. It’s been so rewarding to watch these dogs become more resilient, more engaged, and more in tune with their families.

Here’s to navigating the teenage phase with confidence, making great choices, and enjoying all the adventures still to come.
