Embracing the transformative power of training, this dedicated group of dog owners embarked on an incredible six-week journey. It has been an absolute delight to guide them in unlocking their dogs' full potential, mastering essential skills such as obedience, scent work and tricks .

Their unwavering commitment and enthusiasm have yielded remarkable progress, and we couldn't be prouder of their achievements.

4 totally different dogs, but they all did the same course and all graduated with top marks! Congratulations to these 4 dogs and owners who have successfully completed our puppy school classes and wanted to carry on learning more so they joined our 6 week Companion Dog course.

Building on the work that they have already done, they improved their skills, understanding and team work and each week their pups learned more elements of being a good Conpanion Dog. By week 6 they were all confident in performing new exercises and working together smoothly and were able to complete the final exercises with style and confidence. We look forward to seeing you all for the next level of this course!

Time flies when you're having fun.

It has been an incredible six weeks, empowering this group of dedicated owners and their puppies. These puppies have blossomed in confidence each week. We at Happy Dogs use positive reinforcement to create a dynamic learning environment for each puppy that walks through our doors.

Not only do the puppies learn essential obedience skills, but we also provide confidence-building exercises, teaching the puppies tricks to enhance their mental stimulation, and, of course, making new friends in a positive environment. We love to see how each puppy develops each week. Having a respectful, collaborative relationship with your puppy from the start develops an unbreakable bond between you.

We are so proud of this group for their commitment to their training. We would say they all graduated with flying colors.

We're thrilled with the progress and celebrate the dedication of Susi with Max, Angela with Indy, James and Sian with Phoenix and Kenzi, and Julia with Missy. We look forward to continuing their journey in our Puppy 2 course.

Fear Free Puppy Classes – Small Steps, Big Wins!

We had the privilege of working with a group of amazing puppies and their equally dedicated pet parents during our Fear Free Puppy Classes - a unique collaboration between Happy Dogs Training, George Rex Vets and No Fret Vet and Pet Care.

What made these sessions so special? They weren’t just about sit-stay-down – they were about emotions, confidence, and trust.

We focused on the core principles of Fear Free care, giving each pup the time and space to learn at their own emotional pace. When we allow that space, magic happens.

In just one session, the transformation was clear – puppies who were too anxious to walk through the clinic doors were playing inside, happily hopping on and off the scale, and building trust in a space that once felt scary.

We explored confidence-building exercises for handling and exam procedures – from paws and ears to muzzles and movement – and laid the foundations for cooperative care through kind, respectful introductions.

One of the most powerful outcomes? Empowered pet parents. Whether their vet is Fear Free or not, they now have the tools to advocate for their pup’s emotional wellbeing and make a positive impact at every visit.

This is the heart of Fear Free care – reducing fear, anxiety, and stress for pets and the humans who love them.

We are delighted to announce some exciting news! Our puppy 1 has successfully graduated and completed their 6-week puppy course with flying colors.

The puppies commenced their training journey by acquiring the fundamental knowledge necessary for their development.

Throughout this process, we explored various training techniques, including husbandry knowledge, emphasizing the significance of veterinary visits and preparing the puppies for success in such environments.

These puppies demonstrated exceptional progress, not only acquiring skills that will benefit their future but also learning to reach their full potential.

Wishing this wonderful group of Intermediate puppies and their owners congratulations on completing their Puppy 2 course.

The puppies and their owners started at Happy Dogs when their puppies were just four months old. They have blossomed into well-rounded teenagers who have acquired skills to navigate different environments.

Not only did they graduate from Puppy 2, but their commitment continued to our Vet de-sensitization course at George Rex Veterinary Clinic in collaboration with Ilse Fourie from No Vret Pet & Vet Consultant.

The course is designed to create a lifelong positive association with their puppies at the vet. By the second class at the vet, the puppies could not wait to go through the doors.

This demonstrated the necessity for puppies to have a fear-free experience when going to the vet.

Well done to these amazing handlers and their puppies.
