🚀 Meet Suzi – Our Pocket Rocket With a Big Heart! 🐾

Suzi is a dachshund cross with more personality than her little legs can carry! This high-energy girl is always on the go – running, exploring, and occasionally burying her cookies for later (because a lady likes to be prepared).

Like any true dachshund, she can be a bit feisty and sassy, but that’s part of her charm. Once she’s had her zoomie time, she transforms into the sweetest lapdog, showering you with kisses 💕

Life at the shelter can be noisy, and all the loudmouths are stressing her out. She’s dreaming of a calm, loving home where she can be her goofy self without all the background chaos.

If you’re looking for a dog who will make you laugh, keep you active, and then curl up with you at the end of the day - Suzi is your girl.

🚨 Sensitive Content – Please Scroll On If You're Easily Upset 🚨

We don’t often share the worst cases we deal with - but today, we feel it's important that the public sees just a small part of the cruelty we face too often.

A cat was found dumped near a black bag that contained a dog who had already died due to severe, horrible injuries. The cat’s ears had been cut off, and he was badly injured. We are heartbroken and outraged at this cruelty.

Despite quick help from our team, we had to make the kindest decision and put him to sleep to end his suffering.

This is the reality behind the scenes. We cannot do this work without the community’s support. These are not rare cases - they happen more often than most people know.

Please understand: giving pets away “free to a good home” is not safe. Not everyone has good intentions. This is why education, sterilisation, and responsible pet ownership matter so much.

🙏 Thank you to Gert and Gerhard who rushed from Orkney to help, and to the kind person who stayed with the kitty until we arrived.

If you’d like to help cover the cost of the euthanasia, donations can be made directly to our vet. Every bit helps.

UPDATE: WE HAVE FOSTERS ❤️ THANK YOU KINDLY TO ALL WHO RESPONDED!

🚨 URGENT FOSTER HOMES NEEDED 🚨

We need your help! 🐶 Five tiny puppies were found abandoned in our emergency kennels, and they’re far too young to survive on their own. They still need milk and would usually be nursing from their mom right now - but instead, we need to step in and become their lifeline. 💔

We are urgently looking for foster parents who can take in one or more puppies for the next 2 weeks, bottle-feed them, and give them the love and care they need until they’re strong enough to start eating soft food.

🍼 If you’re not able to foster, you can still help by donating or sponsoring puppy formula or milk, and bottles for our amazing foster volunteers.

➡️ Call our office to fill out a foster application and come collect a little one in need.
📱 We’ll also have a WhatsApp support group to help guide and support you throughout the foster period.
