🚗 Urgent Shelter Vehicle Needs 🛠️

We are in urgent need of the following for our Nissan NP200 to keep our rescue operations running smoothly :

A car jack (Ours broke after 1 use as it is not right for the vehicle)
4 tyres (185/65/R15)
Front brake pads

🚨 Late Night Rescue Alert! 🐶

Late last night, we received an urgent call for help — a dog had become stuck in a palisade fence. Without hesitation, Gerhard and Gert jumped into action, hopped in the vehicle, and headed straight to the scene.

After some careful maneuvering and patience, they managed to free the frightened pup. Thankfully, the dog only sustained a minor injury — a small red mark on the side of the neck — and was soon safely reunited with its relieved family. 💛

Big shoutout to Gerhard and Gert for their quick response and compassionate care. True heroes!

In the heart of the KOSH region, the Orkney & Klerksdorp Animal Shelter stands as a beacon of hope for countless cats and dogs in need. Since 2010, this dedicated non-profit organization has been rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming unwanted, stray, and neglected animals, ensuring they find the loving families they deserve.

Every animal that comes through their doors receives comprehensive care, including sterilization, vaccinations, and a safe, nurturing environment. The shelter's commitment to responsible pet ownership extends beyond its walls, with educational programs in local schools aimed at fostering compassion and understanding for all animals.
