Dental Focus: PERIODONTAL DISEASE
We are encouraging our clients to check their pet's teeth on a weekly basis. Regular maintenance at home is however not always possible and so we also advise that your pet's teeth be checked annually by a veterinary professional.

Dental disease starts with mild inflammation of the gums and the development of plaque. If left untreated it will progress to damage of the jaw bone around the teeth causing pockets of infection. Over time this causes food to become trapped and worsens the bacterial load. Heart and kidney disease have been linked to periodontal disease in dogs and cats.
