Adopted!!!!
Available for adoption.
A few days ago, we received a call about 2 Golden Retrievers that are " at my gate".
We collected the male and the female. And were told " we named them Skye and Odin"
But they are " not our dogs".
Odin, the male, was very weak, and taken to the vet for treatment. He had no strenght to get up. We had to carry him to the vehicle.
He was diagnosed with tickbite fever, and the prognosis wasn't good .
We decided to try pull him through.
Unfortunately his organs were damaged too much, because medical treatment came too late.
Both dogs were sterilised and microchipped.
We checked the microchip details, and Lo and Behold, their names were indeed Skye and Odin. Both dogs were Kusa registered by the breeder. 1st owner.
We contacted the details of the registered owner, 2nd owner, only to find out the dogs were given away, because they relocated.
Owner no 3 was worried that his small breed dog may get bitten and gave them to owner no 4 and we don't know how long they had them.
Owner no 4 couldn't take care of them, and when one became sick, they were reported as "stray dogs, that have been at my gate for 2 weeks allready".
Please never ever ever give your animals away- free to a good home, hardly ever is " good " for the animals.
So Skye is at the kennels. She is available for adoption, because she clearly was not a stray, and doesn't have to wait for the pound period to expire.
Skye is gentle, happy, well-trained and deserves the best home, where she will be taken care of, and become a member of a family that will not pass her on to the next home.
She is around 4 to 6 years old.
Her adoption fee is R1200.
