Vom Shalin Haus German Shepherds

My first contact with German shepherds was in the late seventies, early eighties when my father owned a dog call Rex. Rex and I spent many hours together training, playing and jogging. I soon realized that Rex was highly intelligent and I taught him to sit, lie down, stay, heal, and also to open and close the kitchen door. I got married in 1988

and in 1991 I bought a German shepherd male called Rocky. Rocky grew up with my kids Russel , Franz and Anja. Rocky was very protective over the kids. Once again the passion for my kids, his loyalty and the intelligence of Rocky was just some of the characteristics of this outstanding breed. New comers to the family was a male called Mayor and in 2003 I got my first registered German shepherd male, Karthu of Glenn eagle. This was also our first encounter with breed shows and since then we have been attending shows. Karthu was joined in 2010 by Mishay( female) and Arko(male) . It was a life time dream that came true when my Kennel was registered with the German Shepherd Dog Federation of South Africa on the 15 May 2012 and a proud moment I will always cherish. The name Vom Shalin Haus is an amalgamation of my name, Shaheen(sha) and that of my very supportive wife and co-owner , Linda(lin) who also loves German Shepherds. Vom Shalin Haus is affiliated to the German Shepherd Dog Federation of South Africa and will breed shepherds in accordance with the rules and regulations of the GSD federation.
