So.....Linda and I took Lyla and Roxy off to Waterwoods Show last weekend… you know, that ridiculously elite, world-class showjumping venue in the Midlands where the horses are worth more than most people’s houses and everyone looks terribly sophisticated? Yeah that one, it's stunning!
And then there was Roxy.
You know her. Tiny. Fierce. Completely delusional.
This child marched into Waterwoods like she personally owned the place. Strutting around amongst the horses, riders and glamorous spectators as if she was the headline event!
Naturally, every girl there adored her, which only confirmed in Roxy’s mind that she is in fact an international celebrity. She spent the entire weekend collecting attention, admiration and probably future marriage proposals.
We stayed at the Sounds In Silence BnB, visited Riverdale Stud to see Linda’s mare in foal, soaked up the Midlands magic… while Roxy carried on behaving like a tiny furry socialite with a VIP pass.

Some dogs fetch balls.
Roxy fetches fans. True story!

Bentley: ‘She thinks she’s in charge again…’
Harley: ‘Shame, keep Smiling Bentley, we’ll give her a day!'

Good morning all you gentle souls! I do hope you are all well? Well...let me introduce you to a special little client of mine who I think your hearts will just melt to see.

Suzie is a very old little soul… the kind that carries a quiet, gentle weight with her.

Her family has a whole pack at home, and they’re well cared for, but Suzie… she’s at that fragile, precious stage now. So when they go away, she comes to me. Not just to be looked after… but to be held safely in this tender chapter of her life. And if anything were to happen, she won’t be alone.

Most of her days are soft and slow… sleeping, nibbling a little food, just being.
But every now and then… out of nowhere… she still gets the tiniest burst of zoomies.
Like a little flicker of the puppy she once was.

And honestly… it’s everything.

She is the dearest old girl, and I love her more than words can say.
Being trusted with her, especially now, is something I will always hold very close to my heart.

Hold them close, breath in their scent, look into those eyes....and you see their very souls.

Psst! Hi guys!....…guess what?
Millie and Toby have completely stolen my heart.

Not your typical Yorkies. No outfits, no princess treatment… just two tough little hooligans tearing around the garden like they own the place.
And the dangerous part?
They KNOW exactly what they’re doing.
One look… and suddenly I’m saying yes to everything like a weak human.

But the real shock?
Grown. Men.

Full-on, proper men… on the floor, cuddling, baby-talking, completely finished 🤣
These two don’t just charm you…
They take you down!

So.....remember....DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER.....EVER!!!

I’ve got a full schedule here—barking at nothing, judging the neighbours, and aggressively protecting the couch from absolutely no one.
And another thing… stop telling people I’m ‘your baby’. I have a reputation in these streets.

Right, I’ve got to go. There’s a leaf outside that’s been giving me attitude since Tuesday.

Hello there all you beautiful dog lovers! Guess what?
I have a confession…...I do!
You know, I didn't really "get" Dachshunds before.
Like… not at all!
Then this little sausage-powered gang arrived and basically said,
“Hi Aunty Dee. We live here now. Also, your heart? Ours.”
And that was that.
Four tiny bodies.
Forty-seven massive personalities.
Zero respect for personal space. Yip it's the norm.
They don’t walk into a room… they storm it like a royal parade.
Short legs, big opinions, and those warm brown eyes that say,
“Don’t argue. You’ve already lost.”

And let me tell you… you HAVE.

One look and suddenly you’re rearranging your entire soul to suit them. And I do do that!! True sory!
Your schedule? Theirs.
Your bed? Theirs.
Your dignity? Absolutely gone.
I used to think I was in charge here.
That was adorable.
Now I just live under Dachshund management…
and honestly?

Best bosses I’ve ever had. 🐾

Off like a bullet. Retirement cancelled.

Then there’s Harley.
Professional Suck-Up.

If you’re sitting, his head is on your knee.
If you’re standing, his head is on your thigh.
If you exist, he is gazing at you like you’re the meaning of life.

Food time? Blink and it’s gone.
Bowls down. Bowls empty. Evidence erased.

They sleep like champions.
They eat like vacuum cleaners.
They love like oversized feather dusters with hearts.

Well behaved. Ridiculously affectionate.
Dangerously fast when necessary.
