I took this from outside as I wanted to change a light fitting but our Madam King Cobra (Ophiophagus hannah) had other ideas. She is very observant and is now keeping an eye on the door.

We have 2 students from the Netherlands joining us for 2 weeks as part of their degree. Here Robyn is busy cleaning the inside glass. Looks very much like she is being eaten 😁. Lars is in the background topping up water bowls.

It is with deep sadness that we share the unexpected passing of Solly Monareng on Friday, 1 May.

Solly joined Perry’s Bridge Reptile Park in 2014 and quickly became an integral part of our team and our space. With immense pride and dedication, he maintained our beautiful gardens, assisted with maintenance, built enclosures, supported school group visits, and took great responsibility in managing our rat husbandry.
His hard work, quiet strength, and commitment left a lasting mark on everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him.

Solly was more than a colleague — he was part of our family, and his presence will be deeply missed.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.

Rest in peace, Solly. 🌿
