Our old generator decided to take an early retirement yesterday. If anyone perhaps has an old working one that they would like to donate, we'd be very grateful. We use the generator to charge our inverter that runs our incubator and heat lamps which keeps all our patients snuggly warm when we have power failures, which happens almost daily.

By donating blood, a dog or cat can help TAH vets to save the lives of sick and injured pets.

To qualify as a blood donor, your dog must:
🐶 1-6 years of age.
🐶 Be of a healthy weight for the breed.
🐶 Be more than 25kg.
🐶 Be healthy.
🐶 Have up-to-date vaccinations, deworming and tick & flea treatments.
🐶 Have a calm temperament.
🐶 Not be on chronic medication.
🐶 Not have had any previous blood transfusions.

Did you know cats can donate blood too? If your cat meets the criteria below, he or she can become a hero too!
🐱 Cat must be between 1–8 years old.
🐱 Must be FIV and FeLV negative.
🐱 Must not be suffering from any chronic condition.
🐱 Minimum of 4kg weight, but also not obese.
🐱 Calm temperament.

Most of our supporters know the back story of Alice who was sprayed with pepper spray. We are posting her again as she really is miserable in the shelter. Some cats suffer from depression when isolated and Alice is a cat who desperately needs to be in a home. She grew up with children and two dogs and is used to being part of a family.
