The Rabies Outbreak is still a huge problem!!
This is extremely serious and not a money making scheme!
Please note that in the last month we have had a positive rabies case that was from the Berea area.
Rabies is not only in "poor, rural" areas and does not only happen in stray pets!
PETS NEED TO BE VACCINATED ANNUALLY!!

Happy New Year to all our amazing Clients and their furbabies 🥳🥰
Wishing you all an absolutely incredible 2023!!

Look who came to visit us..... Lucky 🐶💕
Lucky came in to visit us all and to get his entropion surgically repaired.
An entropion is an abnormality of the eyelids in which the eyelid rolls inward. This often causes the hair on the surface of the eyelid to rub against the cornea, which results in pain and other more severe issues.
Thankfully Lucky has a great owner and this was caught early 🤗
Lucky will be as good as new after surgery ❤️🐾

How adorable?! 🥰🐵
We thought everyone needed to see this absolute cutie-pie!!

This baby capuchin came in to see Dr. Scholtz for a general check up at only 1 day old 🐒
Unfortunately the mother rejected the little one.
He was given the all clear and is very healthy 💕😄

We hope you all have a pawsome weekend! 🐾🌷

‼️ VERY IMPORTANT ‼️
We are seeing a frightening number of Parvo cases.
Parvo (Canine Parvovirus) is a highly contagious virus, which can be easily spread from one dog to another through direct or indirect contact of their f***s.
There is no known cure for Parvo, all we can do is treat the symptoms.
What can you do? VACCINATE YOUR PETS!!
Puppies need 3 vaccinations by 3 months of age and adult dogs need annual vaccinations.
Do not take your puppies out to public places (beaches, parks, etc.) before they have had all 3 vaccinations.
We have seen some Parvo cases that have been vaccinated, however, this was done by lay people.
Please note that if your pet is vaccinated by a lay person or someone claiming to be a professional and not an actual Veterinary professional, you cannot be sure this was done correctly!

We know we have been extra quiet recently, we have just been super busy 🙈

Here is a little update on Lucky 🥰
He is doing amazingly well and loving his forever home. He absolutely loves playing with his sister.
And has no idea he is 1 leg short 😅

We love happy endings 🐶❤️
